Mamod Hubcap Removal
I struggled trying to remove hubcaps for years until this method was pointed out to me by a toy collecting buddy.

The hubcaps have two locking tabs that grip the axle, the idea is to release their grip by tapping straight back on them using a hammer and flat screwdriver, thereby raising the end that is gripping the axle.
To reuse the hubcap just place it in a vise and tap the tab down with a pointed tool, a small center punch works well. |
